I am a OCI card holder with Karnataka domicile having studied in Karnataka for 10 years. Can I apply for medical seats in 85% quota Karnataka state category for NEET in 2020?

Hello,
Yes if you have studied for Karnataka for 7 years you are a domicile. For proving domicile you have to show your study certificate from the school which shows your name ,date of admission and date of leaving the school.
If you are a domicile you are eligible for 85% state quota.
Hence, you are eligible for the state quota seats.

Hi Srijika,please can you confirm if this is 100% true as I am in similar boat. I wanted to talk to someone who have taken admission in state quota with valid domicile and PIO.

Yes I personally am studying in state quota. To avail state quota you need a study certificate from your school confirming how many years you have studied there. The certificate should contain date of admission and date of leaving.

Hi Srijka So you paid normal free seat fees for your mbbs? My daughter is OCI but she has studies in Karnataka through out her life (std 1 to std4) and (std4 till std10). Is this enough to claim domicile and compete under state quota and not nri quota. Appreciate for your advice
