I am getting civil engineering in BIT Mesra? Is there any chance of branch upgradation to CSE if I perform extremely well in 1st year?

Hello dear...
1)Few seats in each branch (maximum 4-5)2)People who apply for branch change are sorted according to their CGPA
and then alloted their preferences according to it(Higher The CGPA ,More the priority)
So theoretically you have same probability as any one who wants to change their branch to CSE.
But you have to remember that getting high CGPA especially in 1st and 2nd semester is quite a task.You have to work hard, be sincere something like preparing for your board exams.Getting 7-8.5 is not very difficult task but if you are planning for branch change you are looking around 8.9 and above and still luck to be on your side that you land among top 3-4 students which is quite a task.You have to be sincere enough to land decent grades in your
sessionals (doing homework regularly ,neat and up to date notebook etc) and prepare nicely for your exams(some papers could really just hamper your grades so you have to be really prepared).Look out for these subjects Maths 1 and 2 ,Electrical (lab and theory),Engineering Mechanics (theory) Engineering Drawing lab,Electronics.
Downside is you would miss out on lot of fun with no guarantee of results .All the best .:)

yes you can updgade and migrate to any other beeter university if you score good in your 1st year. but you have to pay the fees for the rest of the year . and alsohave to pay there also in the university you are migrating for. all the best.
