I AM GOING TO APPEAR IN JEE 2019. BUT I AM NOT GETTING WHAT IS IIT, IIIT, NIT, GFTI AND HOW TO GET REGISTERED TO THE TAKE ADMISSION.

JEE is divided as JEE MAINS and JEE ADVANCE.

First a candidate has to register for JEE Mains. If the candidate qualifies JEE Mains then the candidate is eligible to apply for JEE ADVANCE. So first you have to clear JEE MAINS.

JEE MAINS is of 360 marks. Qualifying cut off of JEE MAINS 2018 was 74. It changes every year so prepare your best.

Now if you clear JEE MAINS with a high score then you can apply for admissions in IIITs,  NITs,GFTIs across India.

• IIIT :- Indian Institute of Information Technology.
• NIT :- National Institute of Technology.
• GFTI :- Government Funded Technical Institute.

You can get admission in IIITs, NITs, GFTIs, in any branch of engineering if you score high in JEE MAINS. After JEE MAINS results are declared after which if you score good you can apply for these institutes .

Now if you clear JEE MAINS then you are eligible to apply for JEE ADVANCE. JEE ADVANCE Application starts in the start of May. If you achieve high rank in JEE ADVANCE then you can apply for admission in IIT.

• IIT :- Indian Institute of Technology.

However if a candidate is not able to clear JEE ADVANCE then the candidate cannot apply for IIT.

JEE - Joint Entrance Examination

This is one of the India's most prestigious exam attended by many Students who have completed their +2 and are aspiring to enter into the Engineering Colleges.

Prestigious Top most India's Central Government Affiliated Engineering colleges like Indian Institute of Technology(IIT),National Institute of Technology(NIT),Indian Institute of Information Technology(IIIT) conduct their enntrances through JEE Mains.

There are 2 Exams mainly

1) JEE MAINS

2) JEE ADVANCED

JEE MAINS is for 360 marks.All are Multiple choice questions.

Three parts Maths,Physics,Chemistry are there with 30 questions each with 4marks for correct answer and -1 for each wrong answer.

Many lakhs of students write this exam and based on the cutoff and reservations for various categories ranks are given.

The  students who are Qualified are then allowed to write the JEE ADVANCED.

Based on MAINS rank NIT councelling is done & Advanced rank IIT councelling is done.
