i am in class 10 , if a chive 35 mark in practical exam of information technology and 5 mark in theory then i will pass or fail
Hello,
It depends on your board's passing criteria. In most boards like CBSE , you need to score at least 33% marks in both theory and practical combined to pass.
- Your total marks = 35 (practical) + 5 (theory) = 40 marks
- If the full marks for the subject are 100 , then 33% of 100 = 33 marks
- Since you got 40 marks , which is more than 33, you will pass .
However, if your board has separate passing criteria for theory and practical, you might need to check the rules.
Hope it helps !
Hello student,
In CBSE, for Information Technology , you need to pass both the theory and practical components separately.
- Theory passing marks : 33% of 50 = 16.5 marks (rounded to 17 marks)
- Practical passing marks : 33% of 50 = 16.5 marks (rounded to 17 marks)
Since you scored
35 marks in practical
(which is a pass) but
only 5 marks in theory
(which is below the passing marks), you will
fail
in the subject unless you score at least
17 marks in theory
.
