I come under GENERAL- Ews quota so how to apply it during neet AIQ counselling ?

Dear Vaibhavi, NTA has opened a correction window in the last week of May for eligible candidates to correct their Category to EWS. But if you havent changed it during the correction window, unfortunately you cannot claim it during the counselling. This is because the final merit list has been prepared according to the various Categories candidates have chosen while filling the application form and during the correction window. Now they are reflected in the ranks alloted to you and you are called for counselling based on those ranks. Now it is impossible to go back and alter the Categories just during the counselling process.

But they have uploaded a letter in the website that there is no need to change the category in the online application form and there is no need for separate merit list for Ews and they would allow to change that during registration for online counselling but that hasn't happened yet .

If you look at the homepage, there is a disclaimer right at the bottom that says ' The responsibility of NTA is limited to conducting the exam, declaring the results and passing them on to DGHS for All India Counselling. Now MCI is the counselling auhority and DGHS conducts counselling on behalf of MCI amd their verdict is final.
So technically, NTA releases the final merit list and passes it on to DGHS which just conducts the counselling process according to the Meritnlist without any modifcations. And the information that is on the website is dated April 25th, 2019. And NTA opened its correction window in the last week of May.
