I do not have domicile on time...what i can do know
I belong to delhi ncr
So ,Is i get 85% of domencile from delhi also
neet form asks for only one eligibility state. i have two domicile states what to do
kya dusare state mai semi govt college mai bhi addmision ho sakta hai
I am a permanent resident of Delhi , but have completed class 11 and 12 from UP . Am I eligible for UP domicile?
I'll begin with the colleges that you can gain admission into through NEET-UG entrance examination.
1) If you land up in the merit list, you are eligible for applying in ANY of the government medical colleges across the nation BARRING colleges of Jammu and Kashmir, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Your admission into any of the colleges under All India 15% quota is purely merit based.
You also might be knowing that NEET offers admissions into BDS, BAMS, BHMS and BUMS courses as well.
Now the criteria for domicile is that, when you gain admission through the AI 15%quota, you are expected to submit a domicile certificate as a proof of the state from which you belong to. Admissions through all India quota are however merit based like I've mentioned, however the colleges will ask you to submit your domicile certificate as a part of document collection and hence this becomes a mandatory document.
2)If you want to contest through the 85% STATE QUOTA, domicile certificate for the state from which you belong is a PRELIMINARY REQUIREMENT. As your nativity to a particular state will be verified at the time of COUNSELING ITSELF. However, you'll be asked to submit your domicile certificate after you are alloted a college based on your merit, just like the other candidates, who gain admission through AI 15%quota.
3)Irrespective of the state to which you belong to, you can contest for colleges like AIIMS, JIPMER for which there are separate examinations conducted every year.
4)For private colleges like Kasturba medical college and COMEDK, you only need to appear for NEET, since these colleges are accepting NEET scores and are conducting merit based admission based on this examination. THERE IS DOMICILE CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION INTO THESE COLLEGES, AND STUDENTS FROM ANY CORNER OF THE COUNTRY CAN TAKE ADMISSION HERE.
There are separate application form for appearing for counseling which is released after the results of NEET are declared.
5)For government colleges like AMU, AFMC, BHU, again, domicile certificate will not assume importance and students from any part of the country can gain admission into this college based on merit.
THE GIST IS, YOUR DOMICILE CERTIFICATE IS AN ABSOLUTE NECESSITY WHEN YOU ARE CONTESTING FOR THE 85%QUOTA IF YOUR STATE FOR THE GOVERNMENT MEDICAL COLLEGES. At other colleges across the nation, your domicile certificate is just like other important documents that serve as a proof of identity.
Additionally , you get 85% quota in the state you belong to ( mostly dependent on from where you did 11th and 12th)
So through this you get additonal benefit and cut off is low .
Now since you asked about afmc so in many of the colleges of India , one has to fill another form (not the same as for neet ). When colleges release merit list they will add your name only if you have applied for that college too by filling the form which is usually released after neet result by the colleges .
But this is not for all the colleges of india . in most of the colleges you are automatically in the merit list (if you get the required marks)without any additional form .
While for some other like AFMC , BHU , manipal you have to fill a separate form.
ALSO FOR APPLYING 85% QUOTA , YOU NEED TO FILL A SEPARATE FORM WHICH IS RELEASED BY STATE UNIVERSITY AFTER NEET RESULT.
Other than all these , aiims and jipmer conduct different exam for which you have to fill different form too .
so make sure that you fill 85% quota form and other form on time.
I hope it helps
For the state quota you have to have domicile certificate of that state or in case of delhi you should have your 10 and 12 from there..
You can have multiple domiciles but applying for multiple states quota should be taken care..as you can only apply in one state through state domicile certificate plus you are eligible for delhi quota if you have done your 10th and 12th from there..
Now the thing here is after the implementation of neet, there will only be a single entrace test for all medical colleges in india except few like AIIMS, JIPMER etc.
But the councelling procedure is same as that of before. You have to fill forms seperately for AFMC, BHU, AMU. Now they prepare your merit list on the basis of the neet scores instead of their own exam which use to take place (before neet).
The 15% all india quota seats will be filled through all india councelling conducted by MCC. And rest seats(85%) will be filled by state councelling whose merit will also be prepared on the basis of neet scores but you have to seperately apply for that too.
And also there is a column in the form which asks that they have to include AFMC in ur college options or not ...
AFMC will be out after the results u just have to keep a check .
All the best for ur exam...
Thank you for asking your doubt.
The domicile rule states that your are eligible for 85 percent of seats in any government medical college that is in your state.as you are from uttarpradesh ,you will be given a chance to apply for 85 percent seat of each n every college that is in uttarpradesh.
When it comes to deemed Universities like manipal, bhu ,afmc, cmc, etc, they don't REQUIRE domicile. Admission to these Universities is based on your ALL INDIA RANK.After your neet results are declared mcc.nic.in will disclose all the details.
I hope my answer was helpful
All the best with your preparation!
