I failed three times in the same subject in the first semester.now that I have passed, what problem will I have in face to face interview in the civil service exam?
Hello Radhe!
The interveiwers can notice this consistent poor performance in the same subject and might ask you the reason for the same. They try to test the knowledge in that subject to check whether how much have you learnt now and also to see your reaction when you are asked questions from the subject you are weak in.
Now, since you have cleared the subject, its not sufficient. You need to study it from scratch again and preprare in prespective of the civil service exams. You must feel confident about the subject as well as about yourself. So practice mock interviews, it can help a lot. Get tips from people who have faced such interviews.
All the best!
Dear Aspirant,
For Civil services exam like UPSC the selections are totally based on the performance of a candidate in prelims, mains and interview irrespective of academic marks. But it might be a chance that the interviewer will ask you some questions from your subject in which you have got re-appear. But the basic eligibility criteria is that you must hold a Bachelor's degree. So don't worry. Do your best in the prelims and mains exam. And also face the interview with full confidence.
Hope this helps.
