I m also army brat and had got 42k rank in jee mains but still not applied to get admission there because the college has poor placement record and fees is also high.....

You have less chances to get CSE branch but you can get other branches based on your rank.
You can also get good private college in other states like: Haryana, UP, West Bengal, Punjab, Rajasthan, Maharashtra. Most of the states have reservation for other state students in private colleges based on JEE Main score/rank. You need to apply separately for them.
