Management:
One of the worst managements you can find. They are greedy as hell and want to extract money from students for everything. Also they don't care even if you have a class and are running late. They will make you wait till they are done with their gossip. If you are a North Indian and don't know Kannada, they'd siphon more cash out of you. You have to pay to get everything done. You will also be a victim of buck passing.

⥷ call 7 6 7 6 0 8 0 0 0 8 for admission in PES UNIVERSITY, Well this year it was me who was sitting for placements and so I think i am a suited candidate to answer this.
The placements for this year were above average. Not awesome but not bad either.
Average candidates found their way to a good company with an average ctc of around 5 to 6 lpa. There were good profiles being offered. This is the CTC bracket where half of the cse students would fall in.
Some bright students got their dream companies.Highest package being microsoft (24 lpa which later got increased by a very significant margin.I heard 30+ lpa from the guy who got placed.I can’t remember the exact figure.)
All the high scoring students were also placed in companies they would accept anyday with open arms.
There are very less chances of getting seat in PES University with this rank.
Thank you.

- Academics - Most of the classes doesn’t go accurately but still one will learn more by researching on syllabus. UVCE has Autonomous syllabus that is affiliated to Bangalore University.
- Infrastructure - UVCE has completed 100 years in 2017 in the field of engineering by providing quality education & yes, it is the oldest & top engineering college in Karnataka. Campus is such like can enjoy in every semester, can library( a large number of reference books), nice to sit & chill with friends at Rock garden, in front of playground at canteen side.
- Fees & Scholarship - Since its a government college, the admission fees is less compare to other engineering colleges. One can apply for the scholarship & can make benefit from it.
- Placements - An excellent & a huge number of companies for all core branches comes to college & gives an opportunity to work in their companies. No worries, if one have good & average academic record, communication & technical skills required to crack interview is more than enough. A training will be given by Alumni’s, trainers that will be taken care by TPO (Training & Placement Office).
- Companies To be honest ,this year PES was exceptional in placements and the kind of companies that visited PES were top notch.100 plus companies have visited the campus. PES main campus and PES university bagged most of the high packages and that too in double digits for companies offering double digit salary. The placements were comparable to any top IITs . Since, this was the first batch graduating from PES university ,college administration really focussed on their success and this is where PES south got hit very hard.
No doubt that PES university had many talented students with fancy resumes but PES south suffered because of that since we were just the kind of VTU batch which graduated previous year but had to compete with 2 other campuses this year which were always better in every sense be it academics, internships and projects .If just the main campus was not enough for previous batches to compete, this year PES university joined the party.
〴Admission helpline 76 7 6 ❍ 8 ❍❍❍ 8.I can answer only for the undergraduate faculty and facilities, so things may have changed in the meantime. This is going to be a long answer though. I’ve a lot to say about PESIT.
- Faculty
There are a few brilliant teachers, and a few okay ones, but the majority frustrated me near to tears.
The biggest problem was teachers are rote learners in PESIT - there was a teacher who was praised to high heavens by many and even I thought she was okay. Till she asked in class ‘why should JavaScript be written in a separate file rather than together with the HTML’ and answered ‘because otherwise it will be visible to end users’. To be fair to her, the book did say something similar. But she wasn’t thoughtful enough to remember that all client-side-technology is well client side. Which means the source code for an interpreted language has to be given to the browser. There is no way around it. And if my browser has it, I can get it too.
From what I hear most comparable colleges are not much better though. Ultimately, the teachers were sympathetic and not unnecessarily strict. They grade leniently, unless you piss them off; but even if you do, they grade you fairly - I can personally attest to that. They leave you to your own devices in labs and let you tinker around. And if you really want to do something, you can always find at least one teacher who’ll support and help you. They are also humble - you can research under IISc profs, and your profs won’t be offended.
The text books are superb and the library is a treasure trove. So you can ignore most of the faculty and learn on your own if you so choose.
Research
Non-existent as far as I could see. In my entire time there, I haven’t seen one professor publish a research paper or even discuss research with students in class. May be the experience is different at Master’s level - I don’t know. But I’ve sincere doubts about the research ethics of BMSCE teachers. A warning against plagiarism in final semester projects was plagiarised from another university’s website. A teacher’s master’s thesis abstract was plagiarised from an IEEE paper, which had no contribution from that teacher. So yeah, if you intend to go in to research staying away from BIT may be a good idea.
Coding culture
Non-existent. Sure there are a few folks who have participated in honorable competitive programming competitions. But 2 people don’t make a culture. I’ve never seen many (as in more than 5) people partici
✺call 7 6 7 6 0 8 0 0 0 8 for admission in pes. The placement was very good. The training officer tried his 100 percent to bring good companies in the college. Mostly, 90 percent students got placed. The highest package is 14 lakhs in computer engineering and ECE streams. Juniors got to see how the interview happens. TCS is the company which took most of the students.
The quality of labs and classrooms is too good. The college Wi-Fi is too good for downloading all the stuff and help the students to get the data immediately.
The quality of food is just good enough. Some types of food are of good quality while some are moderate. Hostel rooms are too expensive but they provide the necessary facilities and food on time.
Faculty members are really helpful and they provide good quality of education. They help students to overcome the fear of exam and motivate them to do something great and extraordinary in their life. The teaching methods generally used are presentations and via modern-day technologies. The industry exposure and the course curriculum is very good as it helps us with many things.
No. You won't get a seat in PES UNIVERSITY with that rank.
