I got 89.36 percentile in January from OBC category from Telangana state . can you tell me that am I eligible to NIT colleges and what is my rank?
Rank of a candidate is calculated by the formula :
Rank = (100-percentile score)*(Total no. of students appeared for the exam)/100.
As the no. of students appeared for JEE Main Jan slot are around 869000, your calculated rank will be around 92460. However, if the no. of students in April increases then your rank may go further down.
Based on your rank, There are very less chances of getting a NIT through open category, but since your are from OBC category there are some chances of getting a NIT based on your category rank.
However, following are some colleges which you may get based on your rank:
- Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology
- Sanjivani College of Engineering
- Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute Of Technology
