VIT Pune started giving admission on the basis of JEE Mains rank back in 2017.

I can provide you the cutoff rank of the previous two years from which you can get an idea about your selection.

In 2017, after the last round-

Cutoff Rank- 5773

In 2018, after the last round-

VIT conducts it's own entrance exam for admissions it doesn't accept jee main score. You can get admission in engineering colleges that are affiliated to jee main by jee main scores. You have score a decent percentile in jee mains you can easily get admission in private engineering colleges.
