I have 16k obc rank can i get any nit or iiit?

Your OBC rank is quite on par with the others. Generally, any Tier-2 or Tier-3 NITs and level 2 IIITs are within your closing rank. It would have been appreciable if you had told the Home State as your rank is right where Home State quota is most beneficial or as we can say come into play. Generally, OBC closing ranks are at most 20k for a decent college, decent branch. Considering the changed ranking system and last year trends, I can say you have a pretty good chance in Tier 2 NITs with lower branches like Chemical and BioTechnology or even Food Technology. You can also take branches like Civil or Mechanical in Tier 3 NITs. Your best chance would be in IIITs like Guwahati or Una where you might secure a seat in a job-ensuring branch.

I would highly recommend you to take a college through JoSAA and then wait for the CSAB Special Round. You might get an upgrade of college through it.
