I have 8 yrs of experience in HR advisory and i am looking for more specialized MBA in HR, Should i go for 1 yr or 2 yr MBA program. Guide
Hi Nitin,
Thanks for approaching us. Although you have 8 years of experience, I would suggest you opt for a two-year MBA course. It will give you in-depth knowledge; moreover, the prospects will always be on the higher side. If you do not have a time constraint, I would ask you to get into a good B-school after appearing for CAT / XAT /CMAT/SNAP examinations!
However, being experienced, you can opt for a one year course as well, but my suggestion would be to opt for the former programme.
Hope it Helps! Best wishes.

Hi Nitin, with 8years of experi ence in HR, I would recommend 2yr MBA. I remember a colleague of mine who had 11 years of experience in HR, purused 1 year MBA and when he quit the company, he found it difficult to get a job. One of the reasons being his MBA wasn't a Maters Program. It was a Diploma 1 year course in MBA. Most of the organizations sponsor financial assistance for employees who want to pursue higher qualifications. If your organization is one amongst them, you may as well choose a good institute and puruse a 2year MBA with HR as your specialization. Good luck.
