I have got 291 in neet n I'm from OBC ...can i get mbbs seat
Hello Aspirant,
Securing an MBBS seat with 291 in NEET from your OBC category is very tough in government medical colleges through All India Quota (AIQ) or most state quotas, since normally cutoffs are much higher. However, you may have opportunities in:
- Deemed Universities or Private Medical Colleges (higher fees)
- Management/NRI Quota seats
- States with lower cutoff trends (e.g., some North-Eastern states if eligible)
- BDS (Dental) seats are more accessible at this score
Hello,
With 291 marks in NEET and being from the OBC category, it is quite difficult to get a government MBBS seat , especially through All India Quota. Even in state quota, chances are very low for government colleges.
However, you can still try for MBBS in private colleges or deemed universities, but the fees will be quite high. You can also look for BDS or other medical-related courses like BAMS, BHMS, or BPT.
It is better to check your state’s cut-off and counselling process to get a clear idea.
Hope it helps !
