With a score of 478 marks in obc category, you have chances of procuring a seat in the government medical colleges when comparing the results of previous years. But, it largely depends on your home state. For example, With a score of 478, you have chances of procuring a seat in the colleges of Karnataka while it is not so in the case of states like rajasthan for which the scores are extremely high even in private colleges. If it is so, then you dont stand a chance my dear. I hope you are aware of the hike in cut off's and scores this year, which makes your chances of selection more difficult. Going by the statistics, a score of 500 or above will be necessary, even for dental colleges.
