Don't Miss: Best Public Engineering Colleges
Hii Dash,
IIT-Bhopal: First of all it is very important to notice that it's an institute of National importance. So at least it is far better than any state private or government college. As there are only two batches now it's quite tough to make a college environment like clubs/societies, but still, we are on it and within a semester the college will have all the activities like any other national college. In academic point of view we share faculties of MANIT BHOPAL(becoz it is our mentor institute) some contract faculties are also there only for us but they are not as far as those of NIT Bhopal. We are allowed to participate in each and every fest/club activities/competitions/seminars of MANIT. SO in this way you can consider that we are part of NIT. Hostel facilities as observed and noticed are not good enough. Not only its too far but there are daily general problems also this is the reason 60–70 % of the students are day scholars, and even if we stay in hostels after the first year we have to leave our rooms and find our own accommodations. So overall I can say it's a developing Institute so we can't judge it now anyways but my personal experience till now is good.
IIT-Bhubaneshwar:
- Campus:- Newly built campus and facilities are ever expanding and establishing
- Food:- like any other mess food, the food here sucks
- Placements:- Decent and at par with other new IITs established in 2008
- Accessibility:- It is quite far from Bhubaneswar city but the campus has a railway station nearby. You need to go to Bhubaneswar city for market place
- Hostels:- they are good and newly constructed, mostly single occupancy
- Professors:- Good professors, well experienced.

3. Amrita University: I think the M.Tech program in Amrita(CS related ones - includes Cyber Security too) is pretty good in today's standards and continues to improve daily. The university has exchange and dual degree programs with many universities in Europe and the US as well. There's a decent ICPC team(which doesn't match the IIIT-H or IIT teams surely but it's good enough) and is also home to the top 2 CTF(computer security contest) teams in India. Placements are pretty decent - almost all students of Cyber Security got a job.
There is also a cybersecurity course offered at the sister campus, Amritapuri. You could check out the syllabus etc and then decide. The hostel facility is something which everyone has conflicting opinions - each campus' students think it has the worst facility ever so never trust anyone on this. I think you should focus more on what you plan to do by studying rather than what the university will do for you. If you don't put in the effort and hard work, it doesn't matter where or what you study - you will not do the best you could have. - Hope it helps.
All three colleges which you mentioned are equally good and hold it's own importance . As IIIT are best for software development courses because in IIIT they focus mainly on information technology ,so you will get better coding environment in IIIT then any other college while in Amrita their academics is good and even placement for all three colleges are equally good.
