Once you get allotted a college, you absolutely have to report at the allotted centre with the required documents for document verification.
If you fail to go to the centre and do not get your documents verified, you will lose the seat that was allotted to you and it will be given to someone else.
So yes you need to be present at the centre for your document verification.
