Hey,
The cutoff is subjected to variations every year depending upon the number of candidates appearing for the examination, the difficulty level of the question paper and the reservation category of the candidates.
If we consider the previous years cutoff, then you cannot get even a private medical college seat as the cutoff has gone way too high. 144 marks is too low. This time the candidates who have scored in 500s are struggling to get a private seat. So,it's better that you drop a year, and work hard and score well next year.
Hope this helps you.
Good luck.

Dear Neelesh, unfortunately, 144 is a very low score even for a Private Medical College. This year candidates with 500 have not been able to secure a seat in Private Medical College as the cut offs have been way higher. As even the Management Quita seats are being filled through Counselling the chances if getting a seat in a Private Medical College are almost negligible. However, once all the rounds of counselling have been over, any vacant seats will be filled through Direct admission and for that you need to wait until all the rounds of Counselling are over and then contact the colleges for admission.
