I passed my 12 board exam in 2022 from assam higher secondary education council but I was not eligible for mbbs or pharmacy courses as my pcb didn't met the required 50% I got enrolled in class 11 in the same board same stream same subjects and freshly registered myself again and passed the exam with better marks in 2026 ,right now I have 2 marksheet and 2 registration from the same board same stream, what to do now?
Hello Dear Student,
If you have two Class 12 marksheets and registration numbers from the same Assam board due to fresh enrollment , the most important step is to obtain clarification directly from Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) .
A few practical points:
- Passing Class 12 again through a fresh enrollment is not uncommon, but the board's records should clearly show the status of both registrations.
- Do not assume that the older registration must be cancelled unless the board specifically instructs you to do so.
- For admissions, use the marksheet that satisfies the eligibility requirements of the course you are applying for.
- If an application form asks about previous attempts or previous Class 12 qualifications, provide accurate information as required.
- During counselling or document verification, carry all relevant marksheets and supporting documents.
The safest approach is to:
- Contact or visit ASSEB.
- Explain that you completed Class 12 again through fresh enrollment.
- Ask for written clarification regarding the status of both registrations and which document should be used for future admissions and verification.
A written clarification from the board can help avoid issues during NEET, pharmacy, or other professional-course admissions.
Hope it helps!
