I passed with 44.83 % graduation.I belonging OBC. Can I eligible for llb
You can study LAW after graduation in English. As you have already done graduation then LLB will take 3 years. Minimum eligibility criterion is 45 (SC/ST/OBC)-50 (General)%(Varies from university to university)in graduation (any stream) .Admission to the same is based on entrance exams like CLAT, LSAT, AILET etc. Some universities can consider you if you submit your full result of compartment after improvement exam.
Admission Process: Admission is done either on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in qualifying degree or through entrance test.candidates also get direct admission into the same.
Before practicing in any court of India, LL.B. graduates have to obtain the “certificate of practice in law”. Eligibility for DU LL.B. Admission
(i) For Unreserved Category candidates:
Graduate/Post-Graduate Degree from the University of Delhi or any other Indian or Foreign University recognized as equivalent by the University of Delhi with at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade point in the aggregate in either of them.
(ii) For Other Backward Classes (OBC) Category candidates:
Graduate/Post-Graduate Degree from the University of Delhi or any other Indian or Foreign University recognized as equivalent by the University of Delhi with at least 45% marks or an equivalent grade point in the aggregate in either of them.
(iii) For Schedule Caste/Schedule Tribe (SC/ST) Category candidates:
Graduate/Post-Graduate Degree from the University of Delhi or any other Indian or Foreign University recognized as equivalent by the University of Delhi with at least 40% marks or an equivalent grade point in the aggregate in either of them.
(iv) Relaxation of 5% marks
in the minimum eligibility prescribed for general candidates will be allowed to widows/wards of defence personnel (CW) category.
(v) Relaxation of up to 5% marks
in the minimum eligibility prescribed for general candidates will be allowed to the candidates belonging to Person with Disability (PwD) category.
As you have scored 44.83% in graduation and as of now rounding of a fraction of marks is not allowed for DU LLB you are not eligible for doing LLB at DU but this is not the end of the road. There will be other institute which don't demand certain percentage in Graduation. I hope it helps!
