Hello, IAS as a career is a very good choice. It is one of the highest posts in the Government Civil Services. The eligibility criteria for Civil Services Exam is Graduation from any field i.e. Bachelors in Science, Commerce or Arts. You should choose to do a bachelor's degree in the course which you are interested in. You can start with the preparation for UPSC exam during your graduation or after your graduation is complete. However, it is important to note that the Civil Services exam is a very competitive and difficult exam which requires a lot of hardwork, dedication as well as proper coaching according to the vast syllabus of the examination.
All the best!
