Hi Aspirant,

Yes you can give gate.1st and 2nd year MSc students are eligible for GATE based on qualifying degree.B.Tech or BE integrated students are eligible from their third year of the integrated degree.However there are some subjects as mentioned by gate officially are Master’s degree in any branch of Science/ Mathematics/Statistics/ Computer Applications or equivalent are eligible.

Yes, you can give Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) after completion of MSc course. The students who have their degree or MCA or MSc can apply for GATE exam. You can write GATE exam in the field you graduated or any other stream.
