if i don't have portfolio for the Ma in mass communication in Jamia Millia Islamia University. will it really affect my selection process?

Yes you need to have a portfolio for the MA in mass communication in Jamia Millia Islamia University,
As there are reserved marks for that, it will be better if you work on your portfolio to make it better , as it will enhance your chances of getting selected for your course.
