Hi Sudip, Firstly let me explain me something about NEET, its not only for MBBS but also for BDS and in many states for BAMS, BHMS, BPMT, BUMS etc....As you have not mention which course you are aiming for...it will be difficult to help you out..Secondly, Suppose its for MBBS...you must be knowing there are 3 types of college Government, Private and Deemed university...which means there will be different cutoff rank for each type of college...Thirdly, if it government college also...there is NEET all India qouta (AIQ) 15% and NEET state quota 85%........As you have mentioned state rank of 20,000 ....it won't be possible to get a MBBS / BDS seat in this rank in a government setup for a general category candidate... You have aim for around 1,000 rank in state to get a decent collge...or you can try for some other medical branches also...depending on your needs....Best of luck
Hi Sudip, as per the West Bengal second seat allotment list of NEET 2017, the last Unreserved candidate to be ELIGIBLE for admissions to Government and Private medical colleges of West Bengal secured a state rank of 10,173, which indicated a NEET All India Rank of 5,42,848 and a NEET score of 131. However, this was not enough to secure admissions. The last NEET rank to SECURE a medical seat in West Bengal under the Unreserved category in a Government Medical College was 41,347, which translated to a state rank of 1346 and NEET score of 465 out of 720. The candidate was allotted Malda Medical College. The last NEET rank to secure a medical seat in West Bengal under the Unreserved Category in the Government Quota seats of a Private Medical College was 42,387, which translated to a state rank of 1393 and NEET score of 462 out of 720. The candidate was allotted KPC Medical College and Hospital, Jadavpur. The last NEET rank to secure a medical seat in West Bengal under the Unreserved Category (WB domicile) in the Management Quota seats of a Private Medical College was 41,888, which translated to a state rank of 1374 and NEET score of 463 marks out of 720. The candidate was allotted KPC Medical College and Hospital, Jadavpur. Therefore, as an Unreserved WB domicile candidate, you will have to secure a state rank within 1300, an All India Rank within 42,000 and a NEET score of 462+ to be assured of a medical seat in West Bengal colleges as per NEET 2017 standards.
