As for getting into an NIT's or IIIT's firstly your JEE mains marks are viewed. Now as you have achieved 42 percentile then this might not get you into any NIT's or in IIIT's in any desired branch. But your cast criteria might help you in getting into some good govt. Colleges but for that you may check the past year cut offs of your desired colleges which will provide you a better idea of your admission into them. Or with this score you can try getting into some good state college or may appear JEE mains again.

Hey pragati with 42 percentile its becomes much tough to get an IIIT on that case your rank will be near to 6-7 lacs for that you cant get admitted on IIIT. For girls quota u may have chances but as u got 42 percentile u may not get an IIIT. Make sure you register with joSaa counseling rather than apply in state engineering colleges and universities (both government and private) you can get a college. Hope you get a good college.
