Overall academic performance is judged upon. If you have good academic profile in 10th/12th then it should not be an issue. Also your CAT percentile, selection rounds like GD/PI and WAT are other rounds considered. Having a SC quota is definitely an advantage.

There are certain parameters on which the selection is judged. You should focus on the the entrance and other post exam rounds.
