In Indian Institution of Management Rotak has five years course . How to prepare for entrance exam?

The entrance exam for the 5 years course of IIM Rohtak is IIM Rohtak IPM Aptitude Test. This test will be held on June 12, 2021 this year. This is a online based test of 2 hour duration and has 3 sections with 40 minutes duration each. The sections are Quantitative Ability, Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation, Verbal Ability. You get +4 for correct answers and -1 for wrong answers.

Preparation Startegy:

• Know Your Syllabus: In order to prepare for any entrance exam the first step is to know the syllabus. Read you syllabus thorugh and get to know the important topics of the syllabus
• Look at past paper or similar papers : Here since this is the first time exam is being conducted, look at the similar exam papers like IPM exam of IIM Indore or CAT exam and try to assess where you stand.
• Initial Concept preparation - This is the phase where you ideally finish all the basic concepts, learn the formulae and shortcut tips and practice a lot to strengthen the understanding of the topic. It is also suggested that you make notes of important concepts to revise later as the exam date approaches.
• Sectional Test - Now start taking smaller mock exams and try to understand if they are able to build a strategy. This is where you analyse the points of strength and weakness and build up your basic when a mix of questions is bombarded at you.

Once your entire preparation is done, focus on taking timed mock tests and practice as much as possible. The most important part of the preparation is the analysis of the mock paper you attempted, your concept knowledge and fine tuning your final exam strategy.

There are also general strategies for 1yr before the exam, 2months before the exam etc and there are also techniques to analyse the paper.
