It is not necessary that you need to pass both the papers but you need to reach the cut off in each subject and the overall cutoff.
As per 2017 statistics, the cut off in each subject for a general student is 12 and the overall cutoff is 128. This year cutoffs are yet to be released and they will be released along with results on June 10.
