In NEET 2019 is cut off going to decrease?I belong to general category and there is a news that cut off decreased by 6and is there bonus??

The NEET 2019 cut-off will be released by NTA very soon. Cut-off refers to the minumum number of marks that you will require to appear for counselling. The competition for NEET is extremely high and when looking for government seats, cut off marks virtually vanish as it turns to be more of a rank thing. The better rank you have, the more are your chances of getting a medical college through All India quota or state quota. The number of aspirants have increased but so have the number of seats and most candidates claim that this years question paper was quite easy. Therefor no definite thing can be said about cut off marks, however going by previous year trends, in 2018 it was 119 marks and in 2017 (with which many are comparing this year's NEET) was 131. You are eligible for appearing in any counselling on scoring above the said marks. These were cut-offs for previous year for UR category.

As far as the second part of your question, the news is actually true and concerns with NEET PG which was held before NEET UG that MBBS graduates appear for MD/MS counselling. For NEET PG, the previous cut off was supposed to be 50th percentile which has now been revised to 44th percentile. However, if you are still an undergraduate, that news does not concern you for now.

There would now be no release of revised answer key and NTA would release results directly now. If you find an increase or decrease in your marks from the one that you might have already calculated after the release of official neet answer key, then there has been a change in answer key. So far, no official statement regarding bonus question has been released on NEET 2019 official website (www.ntaneet.nic.in). I hope this answers you query.

cut off is expected to increase this year. cut off changes evry year depennding on no.of candidates, no.off seats and difficulty of exam. since neet 2019 is considered to be easier than neet 2018 and candidates are increased by around 14% than previous year. so it is expected that neet top score will be hihg and so is the cut off this year. we are not sure about bonus so wait for result till they are out.
