In NEET 2020 prospectus, the Gazette says, "person with visual disabilities of more than 40% are may be made eligible to pursue MBBS course may give reservation subject to the condition that the visual disabilities is brought to a level of benchmark of below 40% with the advanced... kindly explain
It means for example if a Candidate has 55% of visual disability, but the disability can be reduced to 40% with the help of advanced visual aids like telescopes and magnifiers, such Candidate will be eligible for PWD reservation. This is important because any visual disability with more than 40% is not eligible for PWD reservation. Having said that, Candidates who have more than 40% disability, though not eligible for PWD reservation, cannot be denied admission to MBBS, if they get a seat based on their merit.
Kindly guide me regarding the issue.
Thanks.
