If you are not going to IIT for engineering then obviously B.Stat is far better than any other engineering courses.
Only ISI have a 100% placement record.
And at this time Data science and Data analysis have numerous scopes.
This is the age of big data analytics.
For this high demand TCS started their own M.Sc courses on Big Data Analytics.
So any Statistics course would have better prospects than engineering.
