Hi Vinita,
No college in Delhi University would take Physical Education in the best of four without deducting 2.5 % from your total best of four percentage. You need to see whether your deducted percentage is still higher than the best of four percentage including your main subjects( present in lists A and B given in the DU guidelines).
All the best!
HELLO VINITA,
Although prior for some reasons I wasn't able to write the answer. So the answer is there:
It's depend on what stream you are taking in DU.
If you are taking science stream, then the answer is ‘NO.’
In science stream, DU doesn't see the best four marks, but they see the percentage through the concept of P( physics),C (Chemistry) and M (Mathematics)or B(Biology).
Physics+ chemistry+ mathematics or biology= the percentage for Du admission.
Whatever marks you get in physical education, it won't manifestation in your percentage for Du.
But,
However, In humanities stream, the condition is different.
Physical education marks can be included in the best four subjects if it is a core subject.
But if it is an optional subject then can't include in it.
The answer is ‘yes'.
Also it totally depends upon the course you want to take as each course has its own specifications and some elgibility criteria as we see that in b.a. pass vocational subjects are added but in nours subject it will not be added so it depends upon so be careful and read all the guidelines.
