In NEET counselling , both your All India Rank (AIR) and State Rank are important. The rank considered depends on the counselling quota under which you are applying.

Counselling Quota	Percentage of Seats	Rank Considered	Counselling Authority
All India Quota (AIQ)	15%	All India Rank (AIR)	Medical Counselling Committee (MCC)
State Quota	85%	State Rank (along with the applicable category rank)	Respective State Medical Counselling Authorities

15% AIQ Seats: Admission is based on your All India Rank (AIR) through counselling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) .
85% State Quota Seats: Admission is based on your State Merit Rank , reservation category, and eligibility criteria as determined by the respective state counselling authority.
