Is income certificate required to show obc (NCL)category for admission in Delhi University

While taking admission in Delhi University on the basis of caste certificate especially on the basis of OBC category, the income is the main factor because only by this you can prove that you lie in The Non creamy layer of Other Backward Classes.
As they only accept the non creamy layer.
Also, if your whole family income is less than 8 lakhs per annum then you lie in the NCL.
But, if your whole family income is more than 8 lakhs per annum then you don't lie in the NCL.

So, to prove this point Income certificate is really necessary.

OBC (NCL) category certificate is issued by the authorities in your own district after verification of the income statement of past three years of your parents. Hence, you can see that income statement has already been verified.

So, you can just carry your OBC certificate while taking admission in Delhi University. But don't forget that the certificate once issued is valid only for one year.
