No it isn't necessary that you have to score 650+ to secure your seat in AFMC . The cutoff depends upon the difficulty of paper. As in 2017 the cutoff was 600/720 whereas for 2018 it dropped down to 551/720 for girls. The seats are limited and the rules are quite strict due to which many students drop down their idea for AFMC. A score of 580+ would keep you on the safer side as based upon the previous year cutoff.
