Aerospace is a specialised branch of engineering which deals with the design and development of aircraft's as well as space crafts The course curriculum covers aspects of two branches of engineering - Aeronautical and Astronautical engineering. Organized International Go-Kart Championship which is a student-initiated automotive event the first international event of its kind receiving participation from all over ASIA. The Mechanical Department has highly experienced and qualified staff pursuing their research in thrust areas such as CAD/CAM, Mechanical design, Thermal engineering, Fluid dynamics, Manufacturing Engineering, Tool design, and Flexible Manufacturing Systems/Automation. The department has to its credit more than 48 research publications in International, National Journals including prestigious ASME Transactions, International Conference and National Conference. Hey there

Aerospace is the new branch started at LPU and the first batch has not yet passed out..So placements are not commentable but other aspects like quality education,on course exposures,practical teachings etc are no doubt recommendable.

LPU is not a good college. No matter what your friends say, or the media says or anyone says, LPU is a bad university to study in. If you want a lifestyle as portrayed in the Bollywood movie Student of the Year only then you should consider this college and from what I can see in quora, even that has ceased to exist as students are not allowed to go from one hostel to another to meet their friends and there is no non veg anywhere in the campus. If you really want to study Aerospace engineering, the best colleges are IIT Bombay, IIEST Shibpur, IIST, etc. LPU is not for you if you are academically inclined. Placement scenario is good for IT sector only but that too very few major league companies visit the campus.
