LPU is the best engineering college in Punjab for CSE. Lately, number of admissions in CSE department has been increased rapidly and has become one of the popular courses among engineering aspirants. It focuses on the basic elements of computer programming and networking. I am saying this because my younger brother has already completed B.Tech CSE from Lovely Professional University and currently he is working with amazon. His experience at LPU was amazing. He has discussed placements, exposure, academics etc.

Honestly speaking, the quality of education provided at any of the universities in India has been standardized by the autonomous body called University Grants Commission (UGC). It is just a matter of public opinion that sometimes condemns a university while over-hyping another. Of course, few other factors, such as the university’s intake of good candidates and the output of taught, trained, and efficient candidates who get successful placements during the course of the past couple of years, matter, of course, but let’s get to that a while later.

In regards to the stream concentric study of Computer Science Engineering (CSE) at Lovely Professional University, it is undoubtedly a very good idea. I have done my Engineering from Lovely Professional University and I am a proud alumnus of LPU. I will share my experience, I hope that helps.

Starting with my experience from the first year onwards, where we asked to join some Placement Enhancement Classes, that day I wondering why there is a need of same at this early stage and then the day I was sitting in my placement drive, I recall all those essential points which were taught to me that day and those eventually helped me in securing my seat in an interview.

Talking about my another life experience where we were asked to be a part of some live project in my second year and I was wondering, whether I am capable enough to be a part of such grand project from an MNC, but when eventually I started working, I realized I can do that and I had that much knowledge to be cope up with such projects. Also, such projects boosted up my CV and helped me in my placements as well as in my professional career.

One more point I would like to share that it is not just calling the company to the campus, but preparing the students up to such level that they can crack any interview is equally important. So, I have observed, LPU faculties, put in a lot of efforts to get the students placed. So, preparing the students to such level is more important and putting up efforts for that is more important and that what LPU always takes care of. University has separate placement enhancement department, which focuses on overall development of students.

University keeps on conducting, guest lectures, seminars, live projects, hands on training, sharing views and experiences by the experts and many more events which helps the students to broaden their thoughts and cope with the corporate world.

In my batch I remember, almost 95% students were placed and there were many who got the multiple packages as well. I was one of them, I remember my day I am hopping around the campus and was looking around which option to choose, Finally I landed up choosing HCL, with which I am currently working as well since last 4 years and have received many promotions and hikes. Feedback for this university might be different, some have very positive and some have negative, but a quality education in an affordable cost with plenty of opportunities for students to grab seems a great deal to me. And recently 28 LPA package from AMAZON was grabbed by 3 engineering students, 2.33 Lacs per month seems good to me. And you can be that person. Let me give you some valid opportunities and reasons why LPU is great for engineering. More than 550 students hired on a single day by Cognizant, TWICE that is more than 1000 students, holds the record in the whole of North India. LPU CSE student has bagged a package of 42 Lakhs at Microsoft.

In another achievement, Mechanical engineering students designed a futuristic Formula One Racing Car at SAEINDIA -Noida. India's first-ever self-driving, the solar-powered bus hits the road and made the maiden journey at the Indian Science Congress which was inaugurated by The Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi, held at LPU. The bus was designed by LPU students. Engineering Students From All Over India Participated In EFFI-Cycle 2018, Held At LPU Campus in Collaboration With Maruti Suzuki where there were more than 70 participants from institutions like IITs, NITs and from colleges across India.

LPU students designed and created India's 1st Solar-Powered driverless bus which was featured in various national media and which made a maiden run in the Indian Science Congress 2019 held by LPU, which was inaugurated by The Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi. LPU scored Top positions at World the biggest hackathon in a 36- hour nonstop coding event held at MIT, Bangalore. In another event, LPU students won the first position at Infosys hackathon, Chandigarh. LPU Students wins Car Design Competitions at the Delta Automation Contest in China among which more than 75 teams participated from across ASIA.
