Is pursuing MBBS from abroad a good option?
Hello Anvesha,
MBBS stands for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery and the most popular exam for getting admitted into this course is NEET i.e. National Eligibility cum Entrance Test which is conducted every year by NTA. MBBS is the primary medical degree conferred by medical schools to students so that they can practice in any hospital. It is an undergraduate degree program of 5 to 6 years.
Germany, the Philippines, Russia, Ukraine, and Kyrgyzstan all offer inexpensive MBBS programmes with a simple application process. Many medical schools in other countries are accredited by the National Medical Council.
You will be able to return to your home country or practise in a foreign country if you obtain your MBBS from an international medical school. You must, however, pass the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) administered by the National Board of Examinations of India to obtain a licence to practise in India.
So, its a good option if you are planning to pursue from abroad as it will open new horizons of opportunities for you both in India and in foreign countries.
Thank you!
