Is the UGC NET Paper Pattern changed in 2018?

UGC NET Paper Pattern for December 2018 is same as July 2018 session. However, the major change is that the exam for December session will be conducted in Computer Based mode by National Testing Agency (NTA). Until the last exam, the mode was offline. In previous year papers the NET Exam was conduted in three phases Paper 1, Paper 2 and Paper 3. Now he UGC NET Exam pattern is changed and the exam is conducted in two phases UGC NET Paper 1 and Paper 2.

As the UGC NET Paper 2 is subject based that means the subject you have completed the masters can apply for. The UGC NET Paper 1 also known as the General Aptitude test is conducted for all the candidates and is common for all. The UGC NET Paper 1 has 50 questions asked in the Exam that is of 2 marks each. The total marks in the NET Exam is 100 for Paper 1 whereas the UGC NET Paper 2 consists of 100 questions in the exam from the subject.
