Is vit is a college meant only for rich .I got 14725 rank but iam in dillema as i belongs to a middle class family.Can anyone answer my qst?

If you need CS/IT then your fees will be higher. I am a student there. If you perform well in the college then you have all the opportunities you need.
I recommend you to attend the counseling.

Your rank is good enough to get a seat in Mechanical Department or EEE department. The overall fees per year will be around 3 lacs including the hostel and mess if you belong to the first category. Your monthly expenses won't exceed 4000-5000 including the cost of books and notebooks per month if you manage wisely. It can go even lesser.
So if your parents feel they can manage these expenses then you should go for VIT.

It will be a little more for the first year. But then it will decrease. Let me tell you the split up.
Suppose your tution fees is 1.73 lacs. Then the overall college fees for last 3 years(2nd,3rd and 4th year) will be 1.73 lacs+ 30,000.
If you choose 4 bedded room( non AC) and vegetarian types mess then the total amount will be 25,000+48,000.
Hence the total would be less than 3 lacs.
It will be around 50,000 extra in the first year which includes the security deposit (refundable at the end of your course).

No. They have category system. If the rank is high, students have to pay twice or thrice the fees to get an admission.
So i can complete my btech within 12 lakhs Right sir???
