JEE MAIN Category Rank which is mentioned in front of the specific category along with CRL, is that the same "category rank" which we'd have to see while checking cutoff of that "specific category" ? Or they are CRL only calculated with some calculation and tricks? I'm confused

JEE Main rank card consists of CRL, Category rank, percentile scores for each individual subjects, overall percentile. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be allotted category rank along with CRL rank. NTA will release the cut off for JEE Main in terms of percentile category-wise. The cut off percentile will also be given in the rank card. SO you can check the cut off percentile of the category that you belong to know if you have qualified in JEE Main or not. Now, for admission to NITs, IIITs and GFITs category rank is considered for candidates belonging to reserved category. SO you have to check the cut off for reserved category that you belong to. This is applicable for JoSAA counselling. There are states which conducts counselling for admission based on JEE Main such as JAC counselling, MHT CET counselling, MP  B.E counselling etc. For those counselling processes CRL rank of the candidate will be considered under the respective category. It means that if you belong to reserved category you will be allotted a seat under the category you belong to if you fulfill the eligibility criteria but CRL rank will be considered for allotting the seat.
