just take a case that i do btech and then flying. i serve as a pilot for let's say 30 years then at the age of 50-55 i quit flying or due to any reason i leave flying and i apply for a job through my btech degree.. so will my degree have a value after 20-30 years of passing?? will i get a job easily
hey,
there is no value of a degree in technical field if you don't have relevant experience in that field. right now in india numerous students passed b.tech degree in every year. from them 40% students gets placed , some goes for higher studies, some do mba , most of them works in non technical and trying to come in technical field. there are many people who have worked for 3-4 years in non tech then gain some cutting edge knowledge and again join in technical. but in your case , after 20-30 years you can not come in any technical field and honestly speaking you may not remember anything you have learned in btech before 20-30 years. as you dont in touch in engineering related area, its normal that you may forget the things. and its really difficult to change a career after serving 20 years in any field.
hope you may understand. if you want to become a pilot just join fly training institute after 10+2 course. there is no need to go through btech.
