Dear Aspirant, As per my knowledge, Both the institutes are doing good at their own, here you need to do comparison on various parameter like, academics, infrastructure, exposure, placements etc. My brother has completed B.Tech CSE from Lovely Professional University, Currently he is associate with amazon, Reviews are pretty good, so I will recommend you to choose LPU over Thapar University. He told me LPU is the best engineering college in Punjab for CSE. Lately, number of admissions in CSE department have been increased rapidly and has become one of the popular courses among engineering aspirants. It focuses on the basic elements of computer programming and networking. He also said, that With the advancement of course you'll be learning numerous programming languages. In the third year SAP will be introduced in the curriculum. Limited number of Universities provide this course. Here in LPU, students will learn SAP for the entire third year providing them an edge. At the end of second year students get an option to choose one of seven different minors to pursue (IOT, Big Data, Web Development, Machine Learning, Android App Development, Data Science, Cyber Security). A student can opt for any, according to field of interest. Students start getting internship and job offers from the 6th semester on wards. If you are eligible and possess all the requirements needed by the recruiter, then you may get placed in the 6th semester itself. The packages are quite decent too, for instance the first company that visited the campus in 2018 gave a package of 13 LPA. Apart from all the curriculum you will come across, literally,  100s of technical and non-technical competitions being held. Participating in them will give you an extra exposure, an extra platform to share your knowledge and showcase your skills. CSE is one of the branches in LPU having wonderful placements. If you see the campus , its very great .

If you see the placement its marvellous

If you see the teaching , its tremendous.

But my friend , do not join LPU. It is rumoured that students who do not get admission into local colleges of thier state , go at LPU. Same case with Amity.

The whole campus , placement is to just attract you students.Have you ever heard advertisement coming for VIT , BITS ? I never had seen any such stuff. But LPU And Amity are doing such because they want money and students.

So i prefer you to select colleges in your own state or any other private universities like VIT , SRM , BITS etc but Not LPU ANd Amity.
