manipal and VIT both stand as most prestigious college in India and if one have to select between these two that really is difficult but if i absolutly ignore all the other factor like comfort travel expenditure and just have a look at academics and the facilities inside and the boost that these college provide to student ..than in my view VIT is just a bit better...but manipal is also not too less ,i mentioned that is personal view in my sense.

see manipal institute of technology and vellore institute of technology both has excellent infrastructure as well as experienced faculty members, both of the college has excellent learning environment , modern laboratory facility, workshops for students. however vit vellore has excellent placement in all of the streams of engineering , however as for the placement point of view I would suggest you to go for vit . now coming to btech in biotechnology, course is quite research based and more career growth after completing masters in biotechnology.
