Hello Sudorshan, I have done my MBA from RIIM Pune, so I can describe you more specifically about RIIM. Both the courses are excellent at RIIM. One can get no difference between these two. Only difference is the certification. You will get Savitri Bai Phule (Pune University) certification for MBA degree, and RIIM Certification (AICTE Approved) for PGDM. Generally we know that there is 70% Thery and 30% practical in MBA and vice versa for PGDM. But RIIM Pune has designed its courses in such a way that Every Course is the combination of both the Theory and practical. Their unique Course is MBA/PGDM+Employability+MDP, where You can get all the practical exposure and theoretical concepts and knowledge as well. Basically there is no such difference between MBA and PGDM, these two are equivalent to each other, in terms of placement, Classroom studies, case study preparation, Certification courses ( SAP, Six Sigma, Business Analytics, NSE), Placement readiness program, MDP, GD PI session, Projects, Industry Visits etc. Apart from this, you can opt for 1 month Educational Foreign Trip also.

MBA & PGDM both are the good Management Programmes. The difference between MBA & PGDM.
MBA is a degree course offered by the colleges affiliated by Universities and PGDM is a diploma course offered by institutes that are recognised by All India council for Technical Education & which are Autonomus and not affiliated to any university.
A student persuing MBA study will be studying more of the theoratical aspects of Management. An MBA institute follow a fixed curriculam as it will be based on universities guidlines.
A student pursuing PGDM course will be gaining knowledge regarding building soft skills & this programme is more industry oriented.
