Nope, The Engineering colleges here in Tamil Nadu admit students based on their 12th board marks (Maths, physics and Chemistry) . To get into MIT one must score very good marks in their respective board exams. The cut off mark for students of TN varies from 197- 199 /200 depending on their preferred branch. However when it comes to student from other state they have separate date for counselling with a slightly different cut off mark.
