My age is 32.can I sit for clat ballb course?or I need to complete my llb from any college and after that sit for llm on clat?
Greetings,
The entrance exam conducted by CLAT is usually for undergraduate students who have just cleared their senior secondary education. If you hold a graduation degree in any field you must sit in the LLB entrance exam conducted by various law colleges and then can pursue your post graduation i.e., LLM on the basis of CLAT post grad.
Dear Surya Prakash ,
Glad to know that you have completely recovered from your prolonged illness and are interested in pursuing an LLB programme. Believed me, it’s indeed great to see law aspirants like you.
Straightaway coming to your query. I guess you are a graduate. CLAT or the Common Law Admission Test is an entrance exam for admissions to undergraduate law programmes, the five-year integrated; in one of the 20 National Law Universities (NLUs).
The five-year integrated law programme is best suited for those who had just passed out from their 10+2 and have not graduated. You see, it’s an integrated undergraduate law programme which covers the course curriculum for both a graduation degree and law in five years.
Having said that, you are a graduate, it’s will be not fruitful if you go through five-year integrated programme. Rather I would suggest you to take up an LLB programme of three-year and thereon can go for an LLM in your subject of interest.
For the LLB programme, you will need to have a graduation degree.
I hope this brings clarity to your thoughts and may be helpful for you to take up a good decision.
In case there is still something left, with which I can help you, feel free to counter-question me.
Till then, keep asking questions and knowing the ‘unknown’ while getting your doubts clear.
All the best!
Thank you.
