my CMR in nift is 5860. is there any chances of getting admission in nift in 1st or 2nd counselling????

Hello,
I assume that you are a genral candidate. So you can participate in the councelling process only on the basis of your common merit rank.
Looking at the previous records. its really difficult for you to fetch a seat in any discipline in any of the nift centres in the first round of councelling. Many students choose to opt out from the college which they get . This leads to some vacant seats in some of the nift centres. To fill these seats second round of councelling is conducted. You can register for the second round of councelling. Hopefully you might get a seat . But for general category at this rank it becomes a bit difficult.

Then you might get a seat in nift srinagar or shillong in the second or third round of councelling. But since your rank is way too high its difficult to assure you of any thing.
