My friend didnt qualify BITSAT and got CSE in VIT Vellore in category 5. Since it will be costlier, so is COMEDK a decent option to go for?How much rank should he aim for in cse so that he does get good college in par with VIT Vellore?

VIT Fees structure is approximatly 1,98000/- Per annum. Please explain what was his score & how he took the admission there because it depends on that also.
