The rank doesnot depend only on what you score in jee paper 2. But also on your board percentage.
One student scored 240/390 in paper 2 but alas his board percentage was 80. He landed up with a rank of 5500.
Another student with a score of 240 but board percentage 92, landed with a rank of 1900.
